4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety was held from 18th to 20th February 2025, under the theme #Commit To Life. The event, organized by the Kingdom of Morocco in collaboration with WHO, was attended by 2,500 leaders from 193 countries, including ministers, government representatives, UN agencies, civil society, industry leaders and academia. This conference was a unique opportunity to assess progress, set priorities, and strengthen global commitment towards achieving the SDG target of halving Global Road Death and Injuries by 2030.

The FIA and its member clubs played a crucial role in advocating for road safety, influencing policy discussions, engaged with national and international stakeholders to drive tangible change.

Dhammika Attygalle – President, Devapriya Hettiarachchi- Secretary and P B Kulathunga, Prasanna De Zoysa & M R M Farook, Executive Committee members from the Automobile Association of Ceylon, Ms. Kumari Jayaratne, chairperson of the National Council for Road Safety and Dr. Prasanna Kumara Gunasena – Deputy Minister of Transport participated in the conference.
