Several spells of showers will occur in Northern province. Several spells of light showers may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-eliya districts while showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.
Winds will be South-westerly in the sea areas around the island and wind speed will be (25-35) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (45-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar and from Hambanthota to Pottuvil.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar and from Hambanthota to Pottuvil can be fairly rough at times while the other sea areas around the island can be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Uva, Eastern and Central provinces. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 1.00 pm. Fairly heavy showers
above 50 mm are likely at some places.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
