President at beck and call of Rajapaksas – Sajith

President Ranil Wickremesinghe was a puppet of the Rajapaksas, who had to flee the country in the face of public anger, Opposition Leader, Sajith Premadasa said, in Puttalam, at a Samagi Jana Balavegaya meeting on Sunday.
“Look at the State Ministers they appointed. Aren’t they the biggest Rajapaksa stooges? The government talks about too many people in state owned enterprises, but what about all the State Ministers? They are a bigger burden than any government servants,” he said.
Premadasa said that neither Wickremesinghe nor the SLPP had learnt any lesson from the anti-government protests.
“Gotabaya Rajapaksa has caused this mess. He never had a policy. His policy was promoting racism. Some media institutions created Gotabaya but when he became President and had to interact with people, everyone realised that he was incompetent. Now, the same forces have brought in Ranil. He is doing the bidding of the Rajapaksas. Ranil has no mandate.”
