Institutions including SriLankan Airlines summoned before COPE

Institutions including SriLankan Airlines Limited, the Land Reforms Commission, and the University Grants Commission have been scheduled to be summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises during the coming sitting week.

Officials of the Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation have been asked to appear before COPE on 25 April. On 26 April, the Land Reforms Commission officials will be questioned on the progress made in the implementiaon of directives issued at the COPE meeting held on 21.10.2022.

Furthermore, SriLankan Airlines Limited has been called before COPE on the 27th and the University Grants Commission is scheduled to be present on the 28th.

The Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka is scheduled to be called before COPE on the 09 May to review the progress of implementing directives issued at the COPE meeting held on 23.03.2023.

This year’s Ramadan fasting season is scheduled to begin on 19-02-2026 and end on 21-03-2026.
