Family statement on Dinesh Schaffter killing

The Schaffter family made a statement following the demise of Dinesh Schaffter.It said that law enforcement authorities and family are trying to establish the facts surrounding his death and inquiries are ongoing requested the media and the public to “respect our feelings and privacy at this time and wait for the accurate facts to be established.”

Full text of the statement: “Our dear Dinesh died under tragic circumstances on December 15, 2022.He leaves his wife Tarni and three children Ahalya, Aakash, and Aadam as well as his parents Chandra and Lilani and his siblings Prakash, Manjula, and Ramesh and their families.

“At this time law enforcement authorities and family are trying to establish the facts surrounding his death and inquiries are ongoing. We kindly request that the media and the public respect our feelings and privacy at this time and wait for the accurate facts to be established.

“Dinesh was the very best of us and the heart and soul of our family. He has made untold contributions to business and sports, passionately challenged injustice, and supported countless worthy causes. He will be remembered foremost for his unending devotion to his family and friends and generosity, even towards strangers.”
