Angoda Lokka’s finance manager arrested

The finance manager of underworld leader and drug baron, Maddumage Lasantha Chandana Perera alias Angoda Lokka, was arrested by Thalangama Police at Biyagama on Monday.

Initial investigations have revealed that Rs. 180 million was transferred to the suspect’s account during the last few months. While he was in police custody, Rs. 1 million was transferred to his account.

Proceeds from the sale of heroin by Lokka’s network are believed to have been deposited in the suspect’s account. He used to transfer the money to the account of another person, who is currently detained at Welikada Prison, according to sleuths.

Angoda Lokka is believed to have been killed and cremated in India, where he was hiding.

Several Indians have been taken into custody over the alleged killing.

The Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has taken over investigations.
