Who’s better – criminal or politician?
The mid-day newscast showed a criminal who had been extradited from the Middle East arriving at Katunayake with a whole horde of policemen, including some from the STF, there to escort him to Colombo.
A large number of policemen normally gather at the airport when a political leader comes from abroad. The only thing different is that the politician is taken to Colombo in a chauffeur-driven limousine while the criminal rides in a police jeep – but both trips are at no cost to the person concerned.
Which would be better, by way of the reception on arrival at the airport?
