Vandals damage two statues at Silawathura St. Anthony’s Church in Mannar

A group of unidentified persons had damaged two statues at the St. Anthony’s Church in Silawathura, Mannar, the Rector of the church had informed Silawathura police on Wednesday.The attack was carried out on 02 August.
The Rector said that both statues were in glass cubicles and that there had been a number of attacks on places of worship in Mannar in recent years.The attackers mainly target statues, the Rector said.Silawathura police are conducting investigations.
