Uva Wellassa Uni to get medical faculty

Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, over the weekend, announced plans to establish a medical faculty at Uva Wellassa University before the end of this year. The minister said that initially 50 students would be enrolled at the new medical schools to be set up. He said so during an observation tour at Uva Wellassa University.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, in his capacity as the finance minister has allocated Rs. 200 from 2023 budget for the setting up of the new faculty.
