Urban Development Authority to develop and manage the Eththukala Beach Park in Negombo
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to transfer (as a free grant as per the provisions of the Government Land Ordinance) the Eththukala Beach Park in Negombo to the Urban Development Authority, to develop it into a park attractive to both local and foreign visitors.
The Negombo Municipal Council who mange the park at present has decided to entrust the management of the beach park to the Urban Development Authority.
