Two constables arrested along with party girls and narcotics

Police have arrested a police constable with four girls following a raid on a hotel in the Moratuwa police area on Tuesday (19).

Sources said that the arrested PC is attached to the Angulana police station.

Responding to The Island queries, sources said that Moratuwa police raided the hotel immediately after those manning a checkpoint recovered 20 mg of heroin from a police constable driving a car. Under interrogation, the policeman, attached to Dehiaththakandiya police, had disclosed that the car he was driving belonged to another constable and he was at a hotel with some friends.

“When we raided the hotel, the constable was there with four women and we were able to recover two varieties of narcotics, weighing 3,600 mg and 400 mg,” a senior official said.

Sources said that the constable from the Dehiaththakandiya police, had arrived in Colombo with a blood sample to be handed over to the Government Analyst and accidentally ran into the PC, now attached to Angulana. Earlier they had served together in Colombo and after the accidental meeting decided to organize a party, at a hotel in Moratuwa, where they brought four women.
