Thanzyl Thajudeen reappointed to PRCA Asia Pacific Board
Thanzyl Thajudeen, the Managing Director of Mark & Comm Ltd, has been reappointed to the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Asia Pacific Regional Board for 2024 for another two-year term. Thajudeen will continue to serve alongside distinguished professionals from across the region, contributing to the industry’s growth and standards.
Thajudeen first joined the PRCA APAC Board in 2022. His reappointment solidifies his role in shaping the future of public relations in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on driving ethical standards, fostering innovation, and advancing the industry’s development. The PRCA, the world’s largest professional PR body, aims to enhance the value of public relations by setting the gold standard for communications practices globally.
The first board meeting is set to take place in Singapore on October 29, 2024. PRCA APAC Director Tara Munis stated, “This group of seasoned professionals will help us shape the future of the PR and communications industry in Asia Pacific. Their collective expertise and commitment to addressing the evolving challenges of our profession will be invaluable in guiding our initiatives and advancing industry best practices.”
Other board members include Jeremy Seow, Regional COO and Head of Client Experience, Asia, Allison (Chair); Emma Smith, CEO, Sandpiper (Vice Chair); Leonard Chng, Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications, Media OutReach Newswire (Secretariat); Meilin Wong, Partner and CEO, Milk & Honey PR; Chatrine Siswoyo, Senior Advisor ASEAN, Vero; Oliver Budgen, Founder and CEO, Bud; Maureen Tseng, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, The Hoffman Agency; Ferdinand Bondoy, Co-Founder, COMCO; Joseph Henry, Co-Founder, Vivaldi PR; and Jo Scard, Founder and CEO, Fifty Acres.
Thajudeen has also been an advocate for raising ethical standards in the advertising and marketing industries, urging policymakers and industry leaders to address key issues. His contributions to the industry were recently recognized when he was named among Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 40 Under 40 for 2024.
In Sri Lanka, Thajudeen leads annual surveys among agency leaders and executives, with plans underway to propose certain reforms and policies, including capacity building and education.
He also serves on PRCA’s Education Advisory Board and Membership Committee, as well as the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Professional Standards Standing Committee and CIPR International Committee. Thajudeen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and an accredited PR practitioner of CIPR.

It is generated by the Department of Meteorology for the next day period and prepared by using global numerical weather prediction model data.

Effect of the heat index on human body is mentioned in the above table and it is prepared on the advice of the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medical Services.
ACTION REQUIRED
Job sites: Stay hydrated and takes breaks in the shade as often as possible.
Indoors: Check up on the elderly and the sick.
Vehicles: Never leave children unattended.
Outdoors: Limit strenuous outdoor activities, find shade and stay hydrated.
Dress: Wear lightweight and white or light-colored clothing.

PNS TAIMUR & ASLAT arrive in Colombo
The Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) TAIMUR and ASLAT arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on 12 Apr 26.
The visiting ships were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in
compliance with naval traditions.
