Students assault teacher
A teacher named T. Kokuladasan attached to the Addalaichenai National School was admitted to the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital for treatment, following an assault by some students of the same school.
Kokuladasan said that he had been assaulted yesterday by two students and their relatives on his way back home from school, and his laptop and motorbike had been damaged in the attack. The teachers of the school are scheduled to stage a peaceful protest opposite the school today, seeking justice for the victim.
