Stakeholder consultation deadline extended for Electricity Act amendments
The Power Sector Reforms Secretariat has announced an extension for written consultations on proposed amendments to the Electricity Act No. 36 of 2024. Director General Pubudu Niroshan Hedigallage said that the deadline has been pushed to 14th February 2025. Stakeholders are encouraged to review the proposal on the official website, http://powermin.gov.lk/, and submit their feedback via email to reforms@powermin.gov.lk or deliver written consultations to the Ministry of Energy at 1st Floor, 437, Galle Road, Colombo 00300. This extension aims to ensure broader participation in shaping the future of the nation’s power sector reforms.
