Sri Lanka’s 1st Culinary Studio opened by The Hungryislander
Hungry Islander’s Studio, Sri Lanka’s first-ever culinary studio, opened its doors to experience existing and numerous team-building activities with a culinary twist for individuals of all ages, genders, from corporate events to parties. Located at the heart of Colombo, Hungry Islander’s Studio is well-equipped to accommodate 30 individuals. The studio interior screams vibrance, bold and fun filled hues and has stainless steel countertops for food preparations and the state -of- the -art electronic devices.
Speaking of her newest venture, Sajida Shabir, Founder of The Hungryislander said, “This is an ideal space for anyone who loves to explore their inner chef and adventurous side of trying new things. This concept of “culinary studio” is not as serious as that of a culinary school as in the professional landscape. However, it is more of a test kitchen which is absolutely stress free and excitement packed to- do -list. This is for anyone who is passionate about cooking, loves to try new things, wanting to learn cooking and interested in doing cooking activities.”
Sajida, (27), is not a new name to the culinary landscape in Sri Lanka, her social media presence is known as “The Hungryislander” since 2017 and she founded her very own cloud kitchen 3 years ago as “The Hungry Islanders’ Kitchen” which offers keto-friendly, low carb, vegetarian, halal food.
