Showers may occur in the Western and Southern provinces in the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Eastern, Central, Uva, Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Mullaittivu, Kilinochchi, Jaffna districts and a few other places after 1.00 p.m.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning and temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers

Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, North-western and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, North-western and Eastern provinces and in Matara, Hambantota and Monaragala districts.
