Showers may occur in Northern and Eastern provinces during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most provinces of the island after 01.00PM. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Uva provinces.
Winds will be North-easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

A few showers may occur in the Northern, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Galle, Matara, Rathnapura and Kaluthara districts after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds of about 40 kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, the Northern province and in Hambantota and Monaragala districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
