Shammi wins cricket elections uncontested

Shammi Silva was elected as President of Sri Lanka Cricket, uncontested, for a period of two years yesterday. The election was held via videoconference and the former Nalanda College and CCC cricketer was the overwhelming choice of SLC stakeholders.

Mohan de Silva, also a former President of SLC, was elected Secretary while Jayantha Dharmadasa, another former President of SLC was elected as Vice-President. Ravin Wickramaratne was elected the other Vice-President.

Lasantha Wickramasinghe was elected as Treasurer while Krishantha Kapuwatta was elected Assistant Secretary with Sujeewa Godaliyadda elected Assistant Treasurer. All office bearers were elected uncontested.
