Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province in the evening or night.

Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala districts.

Winds will be south-westerly in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Batticaloa to Kankasanthurai via Trincomalee and from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle and can  increase up to 50 kmph at times. Wind speed will be (40-50) kmph in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil and  can  increase up to 60 kmph at times.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil can be rough at times. The sea areas off the coasts extending from Batticaloa to Kankasanthurai via Trincomalee and from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle can be fairly rough at times. Naval and fishing communities are requested to be attentive in this regard.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy and Ampara districts during the evening or night. A few showers may occur in Northern and North-western provinces and in Anuradhapura district.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Uva and Eastern provinces during the morning.

Showers will occur at times in Western, North-western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva, Central and Eastern provinces and in Hambantota and Polonnaruwa districts during the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Uva province.
