Senuka, Kaveen shine as Mahinda beat Thomians after three decadesa

Left-arm spinner Senuka Dangamuwa bagged eight wickets to guide Mahinda College, Galle to a historic four wickets victory over S. Thomas’ College in the Under 19 traditional cricket encounter played at Mount Lavinia.

Mahinda College officials confirmed it as their first victory over the Thomians in more than three decades.

Dangamuwa and skipper Kaveen Rukshan shared nine wickets between them in the second innings to restrict the home team to 92 runs.

According to Mahinda officials they had not recorded a victory over the Thomians after Dinuka Chandrasekara led team won in 1991.
