Screams thriller with suspenseful plot, chilling visuals of blood and gore

Netflix is progressively becoming home to a diverse array of Korean content and the latest film to join the platform is titled ‘The Call.’ This entry makes it the fourth South Korean original movie to arrive on Netflix this year. Written and directed by Lee Chung Hyun, ‘The Call’ is the director’s second movie to date. ‘The Call’ is an adaptation of the British/Puerto Rican thriller from 2011 titled ‘The Caller,’ directed by Matthew Parkhill and written by Sergio Casci. The South Korean psychological thriller stars the leading starlet Park Shin-hye, who starred in the recent South Korean zombie-flick ‘Alive,’ and rising actress Jeon Jong-seo, who is best known for her role as ‘Hae-mi,’ in Lee Chang-dong’s critically acclaimed movie ‘Burning.’ Kim Sung-ryung, Lee El, Oh Jung-se, Lee Dong-hwi and Park Ho-san appear in supporting roles.
