Rs. 3 bn allocated for settling cops’ food and lodging allowance arrears
The Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs had allocated three billion rupees for settling outstanding food and accommodation allowances for police personnel, Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala said yesterday.
He said these payments had not been made in three months.
He said the payments would commence next week. (RK)
