Rs 10 bn. allocated for EC
State Finance Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya yesterday said that Rs. 10 bn had been allocated for the Election Commission for next year.
Siyambalapitiya told a media briefing at the President’s Media Division (PMD) that funds could be utilised to conduct any election. The funds had been allocated through the Budget presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Finance Minister.
