The Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial celebrated its 20th anniversary on July 13 at Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, the same venue where the club was chartered two decades ago. The event was more than a commemoration; it was a tribute to the club’s enduring commitment to service, leadership, and innovation.

A key feature of the evening was a compelling panel discussion led by prominent charter members including Rtn. Prashantha Lal De Alwis PC, Air Chief Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, Air Vice Marshal Kishan Yahampath, and Past Presidents Tissa Dissanayake and Dinesh Kumar. The discussion, confidently moderated by Interact Club President-Elect Sethumdee Nissanka and Secretary-Elect Nicola Liyanage of Holy Cross College, Gampaha, explored leadership, intergenerational cooperation, and impactful service.

In his first address as President, Rtn. Shervon Fernandopulle honoured the club’s founders and charted a future vision grounded in inclusivity and transformative service.

As it embarks on its next chapter, the club embraces Rotary’s 2025–26 theme, “Unite for Good,” reaffirming its mission to uplift communities through compassion, collaboration, and committed leadership.
