Rival Tamil parties question special status accorded to Sumanthiran

Rival Tamil political parties demands to know why the NPP government continues to provide police protection to former ITAK Parliamentarian M. A. Sumanthiran, PC.
They have pointed out that the government provides police protection to Sumanthiran while curtailing security provided to former Presidents, including Mahinda Rajapaksa, who provided political leadership for the war against the LTTE, which was defeated in 2009.
