Professor Ravindra Fernando has translated into Sinhala Professor P. Chandra Sekaran’s fascinating book “THE FIRST HUMAN BOMB – The untold story of the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination”.
Professor Chandra was the chief forensic scientist who investigated the assassination of
Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, in a suicide bombing in Sriperumbudur, Chennai, in Tamil Nadu, on May 21,1991.
In addition to Gandhi, at least 14 others were killed in the suicide attack carried out by Thenmozhi Rajaratnam (also known as Kalaivani Rajaratnam or Dhanu), a member of the LTTE
The Sinhala translation by Professor Ravindra Fernando has been published by Vijitha Yapa Publishers.
