Prof. Weerasinghe new SPC Chairman
Prof. Manuj Krishantha Weerasinghe has been appointed Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC). Weerasinghe, who has been engaged in a campaign for providing medicines affordable prices for more than 30 years, studied at Royal College, Colombo, before entering the Medical Faculty of the Colombo University.
Prof. Weerasinghe was among those who relentlessly pushed successive governments to adopt the late Dr. Senaka Bibile’s policy.
