Probe launched into Grade 5 Scholarship exam paper leak
Culprit already identified
The Department of Examinations announced yesterday that an investigation team would be dispatched to Anuradhapura today (18) to probe the leaking of a Grade 5 scholarship examination question paper.
Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said that further action would be taken, based on the findings of the investigation team.
It was revealed that a question paper had been photographed and circulated on social media shortly before the examination commenced from an examination centre in Anuradhapura.
The Commissioner General also mentioned that statements had been recorded from six teachers working at the examination centre in connection with the incident.
Furthermore, the individual responsible for photographing the question paper and sharing it on social media has been identified.
The Grade 5 scholarship examination was held yesterday at 2,849 examination centres across the country.
