Podium finish for Yevan David in Netherlands
Sri Lankan, Yevan David’s entry into Formula 3 Racing in the Round of Eurocup3 at Zandvoort, the Netherlands concluded over the weekend on a sensational note. Eurocup3 is a step up from Formula 4 and utilizes the same chassis as Formula 3 Regional.
His performance driving a Formula 3 Car for the first time in wet weather conditions on a track unfamiliar to him was noteworthy as he recorded the fastest time for the first sector during qualifying and secured 13th position on the grid for Race No. 2.
Well judged and skillful racing by Yevan during the final race saw him moving from P13 to P7 with a masterly double overtake ensuring him a Podium finish as the Rookie 3 of the competition. The race was concluded on Sunday July 14, 2024.The seasoned Spanish driver Sigera was the overall winner
