Pera PGIA Annual Congress
Arrangements have been made to conduct the 35th Annual Congress of Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA) of the University of Peradeniya from 10 am to 1 pm on Nov 11 at the PGIA premises.This year’s annual congress is held under the theme ‘Enhancing the quality of agriculture research with community engagement and involvement,’ and is conducted with the collaboration of Institute of Research and Development in Health and Social Care (IRD).
Resource personnel listed for the annual congress are Prof Athula Sumathipala, Director IRD, Chairman National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Kandy and Emeritus professor of Global Mental Health, Kings College, London and the Keele University, Dr Jim Elliot, Advocate for Patients in Health Research, Health Research Authority, UK, Dr Godwin Kodithuwakku, former Director, Research and Development, National Institute of Education, Dr Duminda Guruge of the Department of Health Promotion, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Rajarata University, Dr Prabhath Ranasinghe, Consultant Community Physician, Provincial Department of Health Services, Central Province and Prof Thilini Agampodi Country Co-lead of ECLIPSE Project.
