“Nominate more females and youth to contest Parliamentary poll” – CaFFE

Director Administration of the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) Surangi Ariyawansa yesterday called upon all political parties to nominate more females and youth for the upcoming Parliamentary Election.
The CaFFE administrative head pointed out that as many senior politicians had announced that they would not be contesting the forthcoming election, leaders of political parties would be compelled to nominate new names when submitting their nominations. “It is time females and youth were given the opportunity to play a bigger role in the nation’s governing process,” she added.
