Mainly fair weather will prevail over most places of the island.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Chilaw via Puttalam and in sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil.

The sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil will be rough at times.

Near shore sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Galle via Puttalam and Colombo may experience rough seas due to increase of wave period.

morning.

There is a possibility of ground frost at some places in the Nuwara-Eliya district in the early hours of the morning.

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts from today evening. A few showers will occur in the Uva and Northwestern provinces. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere during evening or night.
