Medical checkup on perahera elephants

KANDY –
A health check-up was conducted on the elephants taking part in the Sri Vishnu Maha Devale segment of the Kandy Esala Perahera this year and they were given indigenous medicine yesterday (24).
The event was conducted by the Basnayaka Nilame of Sri Maha Vishnu Devale with General Secretary of the All Island Elephant Owners’ Association Damsiri Karunaratna and Ayurveda physician (elephants) Wasantha Karunasinghearachchi.
