Manudi and Nimeshika top batting and bowling charts
Manudi Nanayakkara of Colombo North finished SLC Under-23 District Tournament as the top run scorer having accumulated 153 runs in four innings for Colombo North while Shekari de Silva finished with 136 runs also in four games for Colombo South.
Nimeshika Seneviratna of Kandy topped the bowling charts having taken 11 wickets in five games while teammate Isiri Umayangana finished with ten wickets.
Gampaha topped the table in Western Province while Colombo South finished second at the end of the first round while Galle and Matara occupied the first two slots in the Southern Province.
Jaffna finished as number one in the Northern Province followed by Mannar district.
North Western and North Central Provinces were combined and while Anuradhapura finished on top, Kurunegala emerged runners-up.
In the Central and Easter Provinces category, Kandy emerged winners followed by Kegalle.
The players who excelled in the district tournament will now be chosen for the Provincial competition.
