London scene…
Benjy Ranabahu says he is enjoying his vacation, in London.
No sightseeing, so far, as all his friends are busy, at their work place, but Benjy did find the time to check out various music shops.
“I’m doing that most of the time as I want to upgrade my bass guitar with whatever new that is in the scene”
However, Benjy did go for the Desmond de Silva tribute concert with friends.
Being a well-known personality, in the music scene, Benjy was invited on stage, to show his guitar prowess, and he obliged for two songs with the band Foreign Affair.
He handled the bass section for ‘Long Train Running’ and ‘Purple Rain’.
Benjy also mentioned that his friends have made plans to go for the Josephian dance, ‘Blue & White Ball’, to be held on the 23rd of September, at the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel.
The band Frontline will be in attendance, and Benjy quipped: “And if I’m invited, on stage, to play bass, I would gladly oblige”.
Benjy seems to be enjoying these guest spot scenes!
He also met up with a Sri Lankan, Inoka De Silva, now based in London, who generally patronises shows featuring artistes from Sri Lanka.
