Kiriella accuses Mahinda of betrayal: Second only to signing of Kandyan convention

The main Opposition SJB says that a joint statement by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, agreeing to an inquiry into alleged war crimes in 2009 was the reason why resolutions were adopted against Sri Lanka at the UNHRC.

Chief Opposition Whip and Kandy District SJB MP Lakshman Kiriella said that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa signed a joint agreement with former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. It was now the duty of the government to uphold those obligations.
