IOC makes another donation to combat coronavirus

Lanka IOC recently handed over a large quantity of hand sanitisers to Sri Lanka Police to assist the latter in their fight against COVID-19
The consignment was handed over by Lanka IOC Managing Director Manoj Gupta to DIG Ajith Rohana. These are to be used primarily for Field Force Headquarters of Sri Lanka Police where about 2000 personnel are deployed. Commandant Field Force Headquarters SSP Chandana J. Kodituwakku was also present on the occasion.
“The Sri Lankan Police is actively engaged in supporting the health sector and other authorities to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and have an increased risk of exposure to the virus. Through this gesture, we hope to make our contribution to protect the lives of those fighting to safeguard us from this global pandemic. It is intended to help Sri Lankan police officers to reduce their risk of contracting the ‘COVID-19’ virus and to continue their duties without interruption,” said Gupta.
DIG Ajith Rohana appreciated the donation. Earlier this year, Lanka IOC contributed Rs 5 million to Covid-19 Healthcare & Social Security Fund besides contributing Rs.1 million to its associate company M/s CPSTL for distribution of hand sanitizers. Lanka IOC has also donated Peddle-Push washbasins, thermometers and masks to eight schools.
