Health authorities struggling to trace Dayasiri’s contacts
A Health Ministry official last night told The Island that it was difficult to trace the persons State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara, who yesterday tested positive for COVID-19, had associated with during the last few days.
Jayasekera is currently at a COVID-19 treatment centre, at Hikkaduwa.
The official said those tasked with contact tracing had found it difficult to contact the State Minister.
Meanwhile 251 new cases were detected by 12 noon yesterday, Information Department said. This brought the number of total cases to 47, 031.
