Govt. to appoint committee to formulate policy on ships that enter Lankan waters
Sri Lanka needed a national policy on foreign research vessels and the government had decided to appoint a committee to formulate a policy that all ships that enter Sri Lankan waters need to follow, Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath told journalists in Colombo on Friday (20).
“The prime objective of the NPP government is to ensure national security. Ensuring transparency and having a set protocol is needed to alleviate fears,” he said. (RK)
