Gehansa Methnadi and Dinara de Silva won their first-round matches for the hosts in the girls’ singles in the ITF World Junior J60 tournament which commenced at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Monday.

Gehansa Methnadi (Sri Lanka) beat Kai Lin Yuan (China) 6-0, 6-1.
Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Pehal Kharadaar (India) 6-4, 6-3.
Juliusz Stanczyk (Poland) beat Akesha Silva (Sri Lanka) 6-1, 6-1.
Boys first round match results
Meguel Iglupas (Philippine) beat Gehash Tissera (Sri Lanka) 6-0, 6-2.
Juan Hsien Yu (Taipei) beat Aahil Kaleel (Sri Lanka) 6-2, 6-2.
