FELLA…turning dreams into reality
We all know her as an outstanding Fashion Designer, Stylist and Fashion Photographer and, just recently this extremely talented and versatile celebrity was seen on the catwalk, modelling for a charity fashion show organized by the Rotary Club to create awareness and raise funds to end polio.
In September, she got the opportunity to launch her brand new collection of outfits, under the brand name of FELLA, and it was done in India, at the Global India Couture Week (GICW), held in Delhi.
She titled her collection ‘Dreams’ and explained to us what it’s all about.
Says Raffealla: “All unfulfilled and fulfilled dreams of children are colourful and hopeful. Dreams are the only afterlife we know, the only place where the children we were, and wanted to be, meet the children we have become.
“Dreams are fantasies that make us realize, feel and keep us alive. This collection is about bits and pieces of different dreams of children which is now a reality for the ladies and the gents.
Referring to the brand name, Raffealla added that FELLA is a high street ready-to-wear brand.
What makes Raffealla stand out from most other known personalities is that she has a beautiful caring heart as she went on to say: “Our production is done by ladies from rural areas while supporting them with job opportunities and supporting dreams of children.
‘We believe in creating comfortable and breathable clothes for fashion-forward fashion lovers.”
The opportunity to launch FELLA in Delhi was given by the Colombo Fashion Council and Prasanna Padmanathan.
Global India Couture Week Season 4 featured a diverse lineup of international designers (Sri Lanka included), along with renowned Indian designers.
Raffealla is now working on her Raffealla Fernando Celebrity Calendar (RFCC) and the DBL calendar for Dynamic Business Leaders, 2024.
