Showers or thunder showers will occur at times in Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Western, Uva and Southern provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere in the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Uva, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Ampara, Batticaloa, Nuwara-Eliya and Matale districts.
Fairly strong winds of (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Eastern slope of the central hills and Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Matale and Hambantota districts.

Winds will be north-easterly and speed will be (25-35) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (45-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
