EWIS exports Lanka’s first locally made laptops to Zimbabwe
EWIS Colombo Ltd, Sri Lanka’s first and only local computer manufacturer, has successfully exported its first consignment of locally built laptops to Zimbabwe. This milestone highlights Sri Lanka’s emerging presence in global IT hardware manufacturing. The laptops were shipped from EWIS’s advanced manufacturing facility in Sooriyawewa, marking a significant achievement for the country’s ICT sector. EWIS, with over 11 years of experience, is a Board of Investment-approved company and has played a key role in advancing Sri Lanka’s technology industry. The company holds several global certifications, including ISO and CE, ensuring international quality standards. With this export, EWIS is positioning Sri Lanka as a competitive player in the global tech market, with plans to expand further into international markets.
