Enduring on a Hazardous Track

You have been on a Long Walk,
But it has not led to Freedom,
In any noticeable, real sense,
Since silent suffering and toil,
Have been part of your lot,
These long decades and more,
And to the White Sahibs,
You are not now directly bound,
But the way ahead is hazardous,
Since your Brown Sahibs,
Are yet to gauge your worth,
Though from your nimble fingers,
National wealth continues to flow,
Saving your new rulers blushes,
As in a financial trap they squirm.
