Drop in petrol consumption

The Ministry of Power and Energy, on Monday, revealed that they have released over 1.7 million litres of fuel for motor cars, through the QR system, from 01 to 14 August.
In the first week, from 01 to 07 August, 9,325,985 litres were released for cars. However, the number had dropped to 8,013,000 in week two, from 08 to 14 August. In the first week 537,220 cars pumped fuel, and 534,423 pumped fuel in the second week.
3,449,160 litres were issued for vans in the first week, and 3,390,831 litres were issued in the second week. 182,963 vans pumped fuel in the first week, and 192,381 pumped fuel in the second week.
3,562,716 litres were issued for three-wheelers, in the first week, and 3,737,088 litres were issued in the second week. 728,150 three-wheelers pumped fuel in the first week, and 818,610 pumped fuel in the second week.
10,078,212 litres were issued for motorbikes in the first week, and 10, 079,493 litres were issued in the second week. 2,576,019 motorbikes pumped fuel in the first week, and 2,701,889 pumped fuel in the second week.
1,058,359 litres were issued to buses in the first week, and 1,224,758 litres were issued in the second week. 28,492 buses pumped fuel in the first week and 34,469 pumped fuel in the second week.
7,769,022 litres were issued to lorries in the first week, and 8,061,813 litres were issued in the second week. 205,426 lorries pumped fuel in the first week, and 221,191 pumped fuel in the second week.
Altogether, 36,599,301 litres of fuel was issued in the first week and 36,231,958 litres of fuel was issued in the second week. This is a drop of 367,343 litres. (RK)
