Dialog marks World Hearing Day with free hearing tests in March
Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s #1 connectivity provider, marks World Hearing Day 2025 by offering free hearing tests throughout March at the Ratmalana Audiology Centre (RAC), reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and the importance of early diagnosis for better hearing health.
Aligned with the global theme “Changing mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all!”, this initiative aims to raise awareness about hearing health while encouraging individuals to take proactive steps toward safeguarding their hearing. Dialog’s partnership with the Ratmalana Audiology Centre (RAC) – a collaborative project with the Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind – reflects the company’s dedication to addressing marginalised issues such as hearing, sight, and speech impairments.
From 3rd to 31st March, free hearing tests will be available at the RAC between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. These tests are available to individuals who wish to assess their hearing health, particularly those who may not have easy access to hearing healthcare. Individuals are encouraged to register by contacting 011 730 7308 or 076 805 0600 to schedule their appointments.
Over the years, Dialog has invested over 70 million rupees in the Ratmalana Audiology Centre (RAC) to ensure both students of the Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind and members of the broader public have access to essential hearing and speech rehabilitation services. The RAC offers a range of services, including free hearing tests for individuals referred by government ENT specialists, regular speech therapy, and training for the next generation of audiologists through a partnership with the University of Kelaniya’s Clinical Training Programme. Since its inception, the RAC has extended its services to over 100,000 individuals, playing a crucial role in providing inclusive, accessible healthcare solutions. Additionally, the centre runs workshops for parents, teachers, and matrons of the school, empowering them with the knowledge to better support individuals with hearing impairments.
