DGHS strongly recommends wearing face masks again, especially in congested places
Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena on Tuesday asked the public to wear face masks when they are indoors, travelling in public transport or at public gatherings.
He said that COVID-19 was on the rise again in Sri Lanka.
He said that the health officials had noted the increase mainly in the country’s Western Province.
Sri Lanka imposed a face mask mandate in 2020 and lifted it in June 2022. (RK)
