Damsath, Yudheeraya win Under 14 boys’ doubles title
Damsath Peiris and Yudheeraya Athapaththu won the boys’ doubles title of the ATF Under 14 week two tournament with a 2-1 win in the final at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Saturday.
The pair beat Buvindu Jayawardhane and Udeeraya Gunasinghe 6-1, 5-7, 10-6 in the final.
In the girls’ doubles final Mitrayavinda Sathis (USA) and Sanvi Reddy (India) beat local pair Annaya Norbet and Sansa Damsiluni 6-4, 6-3
Boys’ doubles winners reached the final with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Thuvakar Satheesh and Dehan Chanthula in the semis.
