Corona count up, Atalugama chandiya remanded
The total number of corona positive cases rose to 26,038 yesterday (4) while recoveries and deaths were 19,438 and 129 respectively.
The Colombo city limits and its suburbs were the worst affected areas, health officials said.
Police headquarters said a Covid infected person who had spat at and threatened a group of health workers early this week at Atalugama, Bandaragama had been taken into custody and remanded till Dec 17 after being produced before Panadura Magistrate.
