Colombo Uni student finds alternative to lunch sheets

A Cabinet paper will be submitted to produce eco-friendly lunch sheets invented by Colombo University’s first year student Tharushi Vidushika Rajapaksa, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Wildlife said yesterday.
He also said that 99 per cent of the lunch sheets used by the public were not recycled.
“This lunch sheet can be used for a period of between three to six months. This can help reduce the number of lunch sheets released into the environment. More than 1.5 million lunch sheets are released to the environment daily,” Dr. Jasinghe said.
